Care & maintenance
Your thermo-treated ash Surf board is oil-finished, with no varnish: the wood stays alive. The thermal treatment makes it naturally more stable, but a few simple habits will keep it beautiful for years to come.
No dishwasher
Heat causes the wood to crack and warp. Hand wash only.
Rinse and dry immediately
Under clean water, no prolonged soaking. Dry immediately with a cloth.
Refresh it once a month
Lemon + baking soda or coarse salt to sanitise and deodorise, then rinse and dry.
Feed the wood once a month
A few drops of food-grade oil on a cloth, leave to absorb, then wipe off the excess.
Smooth blade only
Avoid serrated knives, which scratch and damage the surface.
Two sides, two uses
Cut on one side, serve and present your appetisers on the other.
